Welcome to our home in Alto de Santo Amaro, a neighbourhood in Alcantara with never-ending charm where the iconic Lisboa streetcar passes by and with an amazing variety of amenities at your doorstep. Our light-filled three-bedroom home can very comfortably sleep 6 people. It is in a ‘traça antiga’ building with an equipped kitchen, clawfoot tub and shower and a balcony with a lovely open view in the direction of the Palacio de Ajuda. The bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable double beds, a charming and colourful living room with French doors to the balcony, and a dedicated workspace in all three bedrooms for remote work and/or studies. Very close to several major universities, the neighbourhood is very central and very walkable with lovely local parks. Our home is situated just outside of the busiest tourist areas and incredibly well served by transit. Very easy & quick access to downtown (centro historico), Linha de Cascais, and to Ponte 25 de Abril (bridge to the south shore). You can walk to the Tejo (Tagus) riverfront in 10 minutes, stroll to Belem for the beloved pastel de nata and iconic monuments (Torre de Belem, Jeronimos) and stop at the MAAT Museum along the way. LX Factory (10 minute walk) and Docas de Alcantara (20 minute walk) offer unique cultural and gastronomical experiences and there are many local restaurants and cafés in the neigbhourhood, including along Rua Luis de Camoes. You will be welcomed by Cila, a true Lisboeta and a wonderful resource who has lived in the neighbourhood for several decades. Cila is super knowledgeable and is happy to offer suggestions and answer any questions you may have, and she always does so with a warm smile and kind heart! Our home is available between June 3, 2024 and July 29, 2024. Our minimum rental period is at least 2 weeks but our preference is for at least 4 weeks. The rent is 500 euros per week and includes all utilities (high-speed internet, cable tv, gas, electricity, water) and a weekly cleaning service. We are looking for responsible, mature individuals, couples or families who will be respectful of our neighbours and take care of our home.
