I am a Biology Prof. at Cornell doing research in the biomedical field; been here for 20 years for work and raising kids. I am now looking for a small family or a couple to rent the upstairs (furnished, optional) of my house for a minimum of 5 months but ideally one year renewable. It includes 3 small bedrooms and a large living room connected to a dining room, kitchen with all amenities, 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, a mud room connected to 1-car garage with shared storage shelf space. A second bathroom and mini-gym in the basement are available when owner is not there (which is most of the time). Tenant has private entrance and exclusive access to two decks (one in back with sunrise views of Cornell, and one in front); there is a driveway for 2-car parking in front of a one-car garage. The house is furnished except one bedroom may receive more items that the renter would provide; kitchen is fully equipped including coffee maker, plates, mixer, pots and pans, etc, towels&bed linen provided. Furniture and appliances can be removed if tenant prefers unfurnished. Utilities are not covered except water and sewage. The house is equipped with adjustable forced-air heating and central air conditioning. Laundry in basement. Pets are allowed with owner's permission. Cul-de-sac area is quiet, safe, and ideal for small children. The back yard is fenced in and has a gate. A storage shed is located in the backyard area. Lawn mowing is provided, but no cleaning or snow removal. Ready to move in starting on June 15th, 2024.
