Ideal for a short-term visiting faculty, couple or single student looking for a temporary place to rent while looking for a full academic rental. This is the ground unit in an individual house in North Berkeley Hills, 3 min walking distance from the Rose Garden. There is only one other tenant upstairs and the beautiful garden access is shared. Easy access to the university by bus #65 or #67, downtown with bus #65, #67, #18 - or 20 min walking distance to campus. Walking distance to the Gourmet District on Shattuck Ave with cafes, restaurants and groceries stores (Safeway, Andronico, CVS pharmacy). Easy access to Tilden Park in the hills. This is a quiet and sunny apartment, with lots of windows and a private French door entrance directly from the garden. It's fully furnished and equipped, high speed internet is included. Living room/dining room with a comfortable sofa and dining table/desk for 4 that can be used as a desk. Kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave, boiler, toaster, and all cooking utensils. No dishwasher. Washing machine and dryer are included and private, just outside of the unit in a separate storage room. Bathroom with shower, toilet and large tiles. Bedroom with a queen bed, double wardrobe and chest of drawers. Garden is very lush and quiet, with a shared terrace and private patio in front of the unit. There is a second bedroom that will be looked and not rented to store my personal belongings. Looking for quiet and responsible sublet tenants, no pets, no parties or overnight guests allowed. Decreased rate for longer stays up to 6 weeks - Monthly rent is $2,400 - Weekly rent $650 (minimum 2 weeks) - Additional cleaning fee at the end of $80 - Security deposit $2,000.
