The house is a 100+-year-old millhouse with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood close to 9th Street and Hillsborough Rd. and is an easy commute to Duke by foot, bike, or bus. Grocery stores, coffeeshops, and restaurants are a short walk away. We have many lovely neighbors, who are a mix of families, graduate students, and young professionals. There are beautiful gardens with fruit trees and flowers, and a large vegetable plot in the backyard that the tenant would be free to plant. We do plan to pay someone to cut the grass and help with the weeds. The house is currently set up for a family of 4 with a double bed in the front bedroom and bunkbeds in the back bedroom, but the set-up could be changed a bit depending on the tenants' preference. The house is fairly small at 980 sq ft, but the bedrooms are large. There is a large desk in the front bedroom. We can potentially offer a discount on the rent to tenants who are willing to take care of our cat. The house is old and while there have been many updates, there are lots of little funky things about the space. We have lived in this house for 13 years, so we like to tell ourselves it just adds character.

Comments: The house is a 100+-year-old millhouse with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and a large front porch. There are beautiful gardens with fruit trees and flowers. The location is close to 9th Street and Hillsborough Rd. and is an easy commute to Duke.
Comments: We would consider a $200 discount for a tenant who is willing to take care of our cat! Utilities usually total around $200-250/month per our current tenants' usage.
Comments: The house is currently furnished for a family of 4 with bunkbeds in one room. However, this could be rearranged for the new tenants,
14-year-old cat who is fairly self-sufficient, as there is a cat door. Task would include feeding her 2x/day and helping to arrange a neighbor to feed her if you are traveling.
Outdoors there is a large garden, and we plan to hire someone to help with this, but we do request help with watering in the warmer months. There are some house plants indoors that we would also ask you to water. regularly

Comments: Strong preference for tenants who can stay for 1 year. The house is occupied until July 15th. The end date could easily be pushed back until the end of the July.
