Our family home is at the end of a short street in a sweet neighborhood. It is ideal for an academic family with 1 or 2 small children. The house features a grassy yard all around the house, big shade trees and a newly painted sunshine yellow exterior. We are walking distance to Historic Cottage Street in Downtown Easthampton which features restaurants, eclectic bars, coffee shops, a local bookstore, thrift shops, and the best bakery in town. We are a 15 minute drive or pleasant bike ride on a bike path to Smith College in Northampton, and close to UMass Amherst, Mt. Holyoke College, Hampshire College, Holyoke Community College and Amherst College. The house is a Cape House with 2 stories: - The ground floor has an entry room/ mud room, an open floor plan with a living room, new kitchen, and a sun room that looks out to Mt. Tom. Features built-in shelves. - Also on the ground floor, there is one office space and one bathroom with a new shower. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer and an extra slop sink. - The second floor has one large bedroom and one small bedroom, and a bathroom. - Sky lights are featured in sun room, entry mudroom and in both upstairs bedrooms Additional details - The living room features a smart TV and cozy sectional couch - The sun room features big bright windows, high ceiling, a gas fireplace and small leather couch with seats that recline - The yard features lots of tree shade, open grass area, playset for small kids under 10, a vegetable garden, a picnic table and a gas grill. - Mini splits are in every room of the house and provide heat in the winter and A/C in the warmer months. - The house is fully furnished and the kitchen is fully stocked with all cookware and supplies Things to note: - We have a finished basement that will be used as storage so this part of the house will not be available for use. - Water, sewer, gas, trash, yard maintenance, snow removal included - Electricity will be paid separate or included in monthly rate for an additional monthly fee. Please note: the mini-splits that supply heat and A/C run on electricity so the electricity bill can be high in the winter. - There is a 2-car garage that will have 1 or 2 cars in it.
