Beautiful 1,200 sq. ft. condo in historic building with lots of large windows (two or three in all of the main rooms) that welcome an abundance of natural light, illuminating the sleek interiors, and a large outdoor balcony. The house is located on a private way in the quiet neighborhood of Arlington Heights. The second-floor apartment provides sweeping views to the north and east. Arlington is a prime location from which nearby Boston and Cambridge are easy to explore, and with a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, smaller crowds and very safe. The space 1,200 Sq Ft | 2nd Floor of a Multifamily Home | 2BR | 1BA | 1 Office/Study with sleeper sofa | modern kitchen | High speed internet | W/D | No Pets The apartment is comfortable for an extended (minimum one-month) stay of up to four (4) people, with an additional sleeper-sofa in the office/study for occasional overnight guests (max. two more). Sleeping arrangement: 2 beds | 4-6 guests - Room 1: One (1) King bed - Room 2: One (1) Bunk bed - Room 3: One (1) Queen plus-sized sleeper sofa - Note: All three rooms have doors. See pictures. The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed with organic, Saatva mattress, and a large walk-in closet with extra, overhead storage space. The second bedroom has a single bed that can also be turned into a bunk bed for two children as well as a closet, dresser, desk and chair. The office / study features a large desk with monitor (powered USB-C connection), a TV equipped with Roku (to log-in to your own streaming services), and a (very comfortable!) queen plus-sized American Leather sofa bed which converts that room into a guest bedroom for two additional, short-term guests. Beds, mattresses and couches are all brand new (purchased in 2023). Kitchen Area: Full size fridge, gas stove / oven, air fryer / toaster oven with 13 functions, fully automatic, bean-to-cup coffee machine, electric kettle, dishwasher, chef’s pots / pans dishware, utensils / silverware, etc. The kitchen features a 4-seat, bar-height table for everyday meals (and the 6-seat dining table in the living room and front balcony are also options for meals on special occasions or outside). A vestibule that leads out to the spacious, front balcony (equipped with 3-4 chairs, table and a large reading / lounge chair) is also used as a coat room (to leave outdoor shoes, coats, bags, equipment, etc.). Home Amenities: TV, computer monitor with powered USC-C cable, dining table, two desks, high speed internet for work video conferences, Roku device for streaming services such as Netflix, etc. Home Essentials: Washer/dryer, clothes drying rack, towels/linens, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, hand soap, dishwasher pods, kitchen towels. - Note: We do not provide laundry detergent. Parking: One (1) parking spot in (covered) car port. Unlimited street parking for additional cars or guests. The Neighborhood: Arlington Heights is a relatively quiet and very safe neighborhood, close to shops & services: The closest grocery store is Stop & Shop, with Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Maruichi specialty Japanese grocery all 2-4 min. away by car / 10 min. by bike / 20 min. walking. Closest pharmacies are CVS and Walgreens, both at the same distance as grocery stores. Biking/Jogging/Walking: The Minuteman Bikeway is very close by and it is a fantastic path for cycling, walking or jogging. It’s flat, scenic and historical, and runs from Alewife Station, in Cambridge (with connecting bikeways through to Somerville and Boston) to Bedford, passing through Arlington and Lexington along the way. Beaver Brook Reservation (6 min. by car, in neighboring Belmont) and Arlington's Great Meadows (7 min. by car, just across the line in Lexington), are beautiful nearby green spaces for nature walks. Slightly farther afield, the Middlesex Fells Reservation is one of the largest green spaces in the greater Boston area and only 15 min. away by car.
