I am a professor going on a 6 month sabbatical/ study leave. My home is available July 1 2024 to December 31, 2024 with some flexibility on dates. Furnished with one queen bed, one twin daybed that pulls out to king size, couch and kitchen table and chairs, small desk, dressers. 2 bedrooms. One bathroom. High ceilings, 2 skylights. New windows, new floors, insulated, baseboard heating, fridge, microwave, induction stove. Shared access to basement to use laundry and store up to 2 bicycles (no one else is living in the house or on the property, but the basement is storage space). Shared yard access. The garden has blueberries, ground cherries, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, rosemary, chamomile, sweet cicely, and space to plant vegetables. No pets. No smoking in house or on property. 2 minute walk to the 14 Bus to UVic, 10 minute walk to the 15 bus using BC Transit. 300 meters from the Galloping Goose trails and E&N trails. Permitted on street parking which is not difficult to arrange with the City. 300 meters to a public swimming dock at the Gorge at Banfield park 3 minute walk to Fry's bakery and spiral cafe. Up to 10 minute walk to Spinnakers and to Driftwood Brewery. Heat and electricity not included (electricity bill ranges from $50 to 150 per month). Full credit and reference check required. No subletting.
