Description

The large, private room is at the front of the house. It measures at least 200 square feet. It has huge closets and built-in bookcases. It is filled with afternoon light though there are blinds that pull up from the bottom or down from the top. It is next to a bathroom with a washer/dryer. The communal spaces (kitchen, dining & living room & huge backyard) are at the back. The room is not currently furnished but could be if desired. There is a detached garage that could be used as an office, studio or workout space. The unit is a duplex on the top two floors of a charming home from the early 1900's. We are located minutes from cafes, stores and a large park. Only a short walk to UC Berkeley, the home boasts an enormous, shared garden, professionally maintained. The kitchen was updated three years ago with all new appliances, lots of counter space and cabinets. There is an updated full bathroom right outside the bedroom with a washer and dryer. There is one other bedroom on the main floor and two more upstairs with another bathroom. You would be staying with a single mom, two teenagers (part-time) and a dog. We are friendly and respectful. The room affords significant privacy from the shared kitchen, living room, dining room and outdoor space.
