One bedroom fully furnished apartment on the Kensington/Berkeley border (3 miles from UC Berkeley), in a lovely setting amid oak trees, with full bay views - both Bay Bridge and Golden Gate bridge - and lots of quiet and privacy. The 1,000 sq.ft. unit is all on one level with queen sized bed and a bonus room/office with a couch that folds flat and can accommodate a small person or child. The open kitchen and living area has hardwood floors and modern appliances with counter stool seating, 32" smart TV, a dinette table, washer and dryer, dishwasher, full-sized oven and refrigerator, microwave, and a wide array of pots, pans, and other kitchenware. The kitchen/living area leads out to a private deck with patio table and chairs, with an unobstructed bay view over the tops of oak trees. The apartment gets lots of light and warmth due to the west-facing windows. All utilities are included (electric, gas, water), as well as WiFi. The owners/landlords live in the upper unit and have one dog (sometimes two), though the dogs do not have access to any part of the rental space and mainly stay in the house. There is one parking space available in the driveway and ample street parking. From the apartment it is a 5-10 minute downhill walk to Kensington's Colusa Circle which has some shops including a small grocery store and an excellent pizza/pasta restaurant (Benchmark), and a 5-10 minute uphill walk to Arlington Avenue with a few shops also with a small grocery store and a good butcher/deli counter (at Young's Market). Both of those areas have bus stops that connects to BART and give you access to downtown Berkeley and the campus, No smoking; no pets.
