Self-contained one bedroom flat in owner’s converted Victorian house in quiet tree-lined street, two minutes’ walk from Tufnell Park tube (Northern Line) and other amenities and 10 minutes’ walk from Parliament Hill Fields and Hampstead Heath.
Comfortable well-furnished flat with paintings, some antique Tuscan furniture, books on Art, Architecture, History, maps, guidebooks and local information.
The flat is at the back of the house and all windows look onto a garden. It is on two levels: you enter on the ground floor where there is a sitting room with a sofa (sofa bed), painted dresser, coffee table, lamps, TV, wicker chairs, bookcases, leading into a well equipped kitchen that seats three to four people. There are fitted storage units, a new electric oven with gas hob, fridge with small freezer and a washing machine. Next door is the bathroom with bath, shower, wc, sink and a mirror covering one wall.
A wrought iron spiral staircase leads upstairs to the bedroom which has fitted wardrobes, a painted Tuscan bed, chairs, side tables and reading lights on either side of the bed and a table in a small alcove for writing or a computer. There is a second en suite wc. The bedroom has a glass door opening on to a pretty roof terrace with a table and four chairs.
The sitting room has a wooden floor and rug, the bedroom has a fitted carpet. Gas Central heating, video entry phone, wi-fi internet connection, TV with extra Freeview channels.

This is my base when I am in London and what I enjoy is its proximity to the Heath for walks and views over London: walks which take you to Keats House and Keats Library, Kenwood House with its paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Reynolds and Gainsborough, Hampstead and Highgate Village, Highgate ponds and Lido for outdoor swimming throughout the year. The British Library, British Museum, National Gallery, West End Theatres, Camden’s Jazz Café, are a few stops down on the tube and there are buses both day and night. Nearby shops include Sainsbury’s supermarket (7am to 11pm, 7 days a week), Butcher, Italian delicatessen, general grocery stores, newsagents, dry cleaners, beauty salon, two gyms, cafes, restaurants, gastro pubs. There is a Saturday Farmer’s market nearby for organic produce from individual suppliers.
Rental fee includes all bills. References and security deposit required.
