Cozy penthouse in center of the city, near the University of Bologna and Johns Hopkins University

Renting for long and short periods to careful and loving academics and graduate students. Mine is a nice and recently structured flat (2008) on the sixth and last floor of a 1960 building with elevator in the University sector of the city. It has wonderful views over old Bologna, the University tower, the tower of Asinelli, the hills behind the city, and the botanical garden of the University. Great light all year round. 70 square meters + huge open terrace (40 square meters) good for parties and barbecues. One master bedroom with king size bed, one sofa bed (queen size) in the living room, two bathrooms (one in the bedroom), live-in kitchen, dining area. Plenty of cabinet space. Completely furnished. Included WiFi, flat TV, DVD player and all utilities (except telephone). Hundreds of novels both in Italian and English for your leisure nights. Public transportation is 50 mts from the door, 5 minutes to the train station (10 minutes walking), plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the block. Literally minutes away from University, Johns Hopkins University, cinemas, opera house.

We had a great experience! The owner is a nice guy, very friendly and easy-going. The apartment is comfortable and modern, and a good size for a couple. It's on the top floor, so it was very quiet, and it has a well-supplied kitchen. It also has a fantastic terrace, which is actually somewhat bigger and prettier than it appears in the pictures.

It's also a good location! Convenient to the university, and many restaurants and groceries, and about 15 minutes walk to the station or to the Piazza Maggiore. The block it's on is not the prettiest, but it is just around the corner from Via Irnerio (a main commercial street) and near a charming area with lots of bars and cafes.
