Restored Lake Placid Club History in a Secluded Forest Setting
Fewer than twelve historic houses remain from the original Lake Placid Club. All the houses have names and this house, Juniper, was faithfully restored by an architect in 2005. The house is designed to take full advantage of the old growth forest setting with each of the four bedrooms having a screened in porch and a different forest view. Because the house has high speed wireless Internet service one can sit on any porch with a lap top. The cathedral ceiling living room has a large stone fire place, books, games, TV and DVD/VCR player. Three of the four bedrooms are a suite with a bedroom, bathroom and porch as one unit. The fourth bedroom has a porch with the bathroom next door; however, that bathroom has the advantage of a two person whirlpool tub. In addition to the tub, there is a very therapeutic infrared sauna. Although secluded, the house is a short walk to Mirror Lake and the Town of Lake Placid.
