Lyon "the majestic" is one of UNESCO's preserved patrimony so has a lot to offer in terms of historical architecture. Also, Lyon is capital of French gastronomy (the famous Bocuse chef !) so you won't know where to start from in wining and dining !
There are also lots of lovely architectural gems to visit. The historical city of Vienne is just 40km away with it's Roman amphitheatre.
