Luxuriously renovated 1 BR Apartment in the 11th Arrondissement of Paris, "The New Left Bank," according to Gourmet Magazine! With Housekeeper...

•This recently renovated one-bedroom apartment in a quiet neighborhood has a large bedroom overlooking a public garden -- a real luxury in Paris. There is a professionally designed armoire in the bedroom, so there is plenty of storage space. There is also storage in the front hall closet. The bedroom also has a desk and ample shelves for books, as well as ample lighting. The apartment is 65 square meters. The street, building, and apartment are quite quiet (the windows are double glazed). There is a study-dining room (not shown in the photos as we are having the room renovated once we have completed the addition to the apartment). Once the room renovation is complete we will post photos (and adjust the rent at that point to reflect the larger space and additional room - coming by end of the May).

• The apartment is airy as the windows open on both sides of the building allowing breezes to pass through when windows are open.

• A post office is nearby as well as multiple subway lines, three markets, lots of stores and the best array of bistros and restaurants in Paris all within easy walking distance.

•The living room has a second desk with book shelves above, a queen-sized sofa-bed with a high quality mattress, desk and bookshelves, flat-screen tv, high-speed internet, coffee table that converts into a beautiful dining table that seats 8. We have free.fr, so phone calls to most countries are free (except for calls to cell phones, for which we ask that you pay). We also have a VOIP phone that enables your friends and family from the States to call you for the price of a phone call to a 202- area code (Washington, DC).

•The kitchen opening out onto the dining room has cherry cabinets, granite countertop, dishwasher, ample, well-designed pantry space, microwave, convection oven, induction cooktop and large Whirlpool refrigerator with large freezer. (We're a block from a local "Picard," purveyor of gourmet frozen foods, so the large freezer is a plus...) There is a beautiful bathroom, with washer-dryer, towel-warmer, vanity and shower with a walls of glass, that is luminous. We supply all towels, sheets, dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and the like.

•Our housekeeper comes in to clean once a week (40 euros); she will also iron sheets for an extra charge.

•The neighborhood is filled with wonderful, friendly merchants: bakeries, pastry shops, butchers, supermarkets, etc. Further, we're within a few blocks of the outdoor marché, at Charonne, that is open Wednesdays and Saturdays. What many choose as the best of the markets, marché d'Aligre, is open every day except Monday. It is a short walk from the apartment.

•We're just steps from the line #9 métro, rue des Boulets station, and there are several bus lines, as well. The métro and RER Station at Nation, a five minute walk, provides easy access to métro lines 1,2,6,9 and the RER A.

•This apartment is suitable for two non-smoking adults who appreciate and respect fine surroundings -- no children or pets, please.

• We leave a simple (not smart) cell phone that you can use during your stay. Just go to any of the many neighborhood phone stores and by a SIM card that has the minutes and features you require.
