It has 5 high ceilinged rooms with wooden floors and stuckoed ceilings. A large bedroom faces East towards the rising sun in the quiet back yard. Kitchen and bathroom face North towards the trees of the same large back yard. Two studies (one with a balcony) and the living room (with a large Loggia) face West towards the setting sun and the green canopy of two rows of big old plane trees on the busy city boulevard below. It has four lanes and parallel parking on both sides. It is a lively urban street with moderate traffic. The windows are well insulated so traffic is hardly noticeable when they are closed. But sitting on the balcony or on the Loggia one is noticeably in the city. To the right a big red-brick neo-gothic church (protestant) from the 19th century forms the end of the boulevard which bends around to the center of West-Berlin. Its bells ring every quarter hour the progress of time. On Sundays it rings for the services. A subway station is around the corner. All shopping can be done on foot. Several bio and normal supermarkets for groceries are in ten minutes walking distance. Shopping malls are two blocks away.
