The house is 1100 square feet, and has three bedrooms and one full bath, with great views of North and South Kinsman Mountains. On the edge of the White Mountain National Forest, this secluded five acre lot in Easton, NH, is an 11-minute drive south of the village of Franconia, a 15-minute drive from a wonderful paddling pond (two kayaks come with the rental), and about as far to Cannon Mountain, the first downhill ski area in the United States. The Frost Place, one of Robert Frost's homes, is five miles away, and offers multiple poetry workshops throughout the summer
Asking price: $1,200 per month, PLUS utilities. The home is completely furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and reliable satellite internet access but no television. Owner will cover all lawn care and snow plowing.
I prefer to rent to one family for the entire period, but will consider vacation-type stays for shorter periods (at higher rental rate). I will be on leave in Washington, DC, working with a government agency, and plan to return to New Hampshire in April or May 2013, but could make different arrangements if you are interested in a full year.
