For gourmands, Bologna is famous all over the world as the Italian capital of food: city centre is crowded by small traditional restaurants and cafè where you can dine outside, ot you can choose a great variety of fresh food (also organic) in the traditional food shops in city centre: balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, prosciutto (ham) and mortadella (Bologna), mozzarella cheese and so on.
