The apartment represents convenient urban living at its best. We're seeking good people to look after it whilst we are away on leave.
The apartment has been modeled to a high standard: two double bedrooms with king and queen size beds, wood floors throughout, fully-equipped kitchen with all the usual built-in appliances (gas hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave); shower room, 3 piece bathroom and a second ensuite shower room, designer furniture, oodles of bookshelves, balcony, washer-dryer, and it is very well-insulated. The pictures say it better than words.
The apartment is located in a pleasant cul-de-sac, 150m from a Piccadilly line tube station in a new and stylish complex with some convenient amenities: onsite gym, supermarket (Tescos, open 7am-11pm), 24 hr concierge, and elevators (though we're on the first floor). The complex also has some beautiful landscaped water gardens and we own a parking bay in the underground garage - should you have a car or wish to rent one.
The transportation links are very good. The subway/tube (in Zone 2) is direct to (i) Kings Cross (British Library and Eurostar to Paris) - 6 mins; Holborn/Covent Garden/Leicester Sq - 10-13mins; Heathrow airport - 60 mins. There is also the overground train station, Highbury & Islington, a 12 minute walk away.
For foodies, Islington Upper street is a 15 minute walk and lined with restaurants to satisfy most taste-buds, as well as some swank bars and cafes for the hip. Highbury fields is a 10 minute walk and is a beautiful expanse of green which we like to jog around.
We are both academics and ideally you will be as well.
