High ceilings, wood floors. The structure is an 1850's "salt box" style house, beautifully renovated and expanded.
Will be rented furnished with a baby grand piano in the living room.
It has a typical New England yard with stone walls and no fences. Quiet dead end street on a little hill, some winter water view. We include the services of landscapers and a handyman for general maintenance.
It is a 3-4 minute walk to the town beach and boat launch. There are salt marshes, trails and public land all around. Also caves, lakes, streams, rivers and interesting rock formations. Kayak to your heart's content!
There are several places to eat in the village, a post office, the Stony Creek Puppet Theater, 2 playgrounds and the Willoughby Wallace Public Library just steps away, offering children's programs, Yoga, Pilates as well as other events.
Stony Creek is breathtakingly beautiful, situated between the town greens of Branford and Guilford.The famous Thimble Islands make this location very special. Living here feels like being on vacation year-round.
The local public schools are Tisko Elementary school, Walsh Middle School and Branford High school, all with good reputations.
Stony Creek is located north of New Haven on Long Island Sound. 8 miles or 15 minutes to Yale University and New Haven on I-95. 1 1/2 hours to NYC, 2 hours to Boston. A commuter train goes to New Haven (Shoreline East) from Branford.
