1+ BR apartment: Sunny, beautifully renovated high-end apartment on a quiet street in a charming, safe and friendly Cambridge neighborhood close to Harvard and Tufts, and a short subway ride to MIT, MGH and MEEI hospitals.

My wonderfully open home has one bedroom, a living room, bathroom with shower, large eat-in gourmet kitchen, a full-sized study/den with French doors, and another small work area. The apartment was fully renovated in 2007, and has hardwood floors throughout, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher). The peaceful bedroom features a queen-sized bed, the study/den has a large stylish desk and two large bookcases, and the apartment has lots of storage space (3 full closets in addition to a pantry). The apartment is fully furnished to a high degree, with contemporary espresso leather couch and chairs. The kitchen is fully-equipped, and there is a washer and a drier in the basement. My home features a private front porch and front flower garden, a private back porch, and a beautifully landscaped, tranquil back garden with an outdoor dining area. The neighbors are very quiet and pleasant, which makes my home an idyllic retreat. My home is a pleasant 10 minute walk along the bike path to Davis Square, which offers several bars and music venues, restaurants, coffee shops, a movie theater, gym, shops, etc. From our home it is a quick 5 minute walk to the nearest subway (“T”) station (Red Line), an 8-minute subway ride to Harvard, 12 minutes to MIT, and 15 minutes to the MGH/MEEI hospitals. Boston University, Boston University Medical Center, the Longwood Medical Area and Boston College are all a 20-minute drive away. For groceries, a corner shop is a block away down the street, the organic market and deli, Pemberton Farms, is a ten-minute walk, and Whole Foods is a fifteen-minute walk, though frequent bus service is also available. There are numerous parks nearby, and our home is a 5-minute stroll to both Danehy Park and Russell Field, which has a free neighborhood pool. Though the proximity of the T makes having a car unnecessary, on-street parking is always available right in front of the house.
