Owner was helpful and the house looked terrific. I have/had a bad knee - I recently had total knee replacement surgery - and I thought this house might be a bit out of the way for me. When we were in venice last spring, I went looking for it, and it's totally charming, in a great area, close to San Sebastiano, the Billa supermarket, and the vaporetto. There's a flower shop close by. Walking in the other direction toward the Grand Canal, you pass a small deli type place that has fabulous fresh gnocchi, then a sweet smelling bakery further on your left. You continue walking and end up at San Barnaba after passing a handy xerox/copy place and an old book shop on your left, and several terrific restaurants along the way, especially La Bitta but others also. If we're lucky enough to return to venice, we'll definitely consider this house. Excellent Angela Nielsen 10/9/2012 12:53:00 AM
