When you stay in a place as beautiful and clean as this, there's no urgency to rush out everyday because you are experiencing Venice when you are inside. My mother and I enjoyed our simple breakfast in the living room overlooking the famous Grand Canal every morning. When we returned in the evening, we looked out the large windows at the magnificent scene. The marble floors are classic from the 18th century as are the other furnishings.... truly a timeless experience. Luisa was very friendly to tell us about the Biennale and other things not mentioned in my guidebook.
