One hour from Granada and Malaga, 15 minutes from coast and on the edges of a national park.

Otivar is a thriving village, with its own outdoor swimming pool (in summer). It is well served with traditional restaurants and bars and has a local supermarket.

The nearby coastal town of Almunecar, is very popular with Spainish tourists. Its got great beaches, restaurants, flamenco bars as well as an historic old town and Roman ruins.

Ideal base for a sabbatical retreat. Local activities include walking, swimming, bird watching, horse riding, canyoning, sightseeing, painting.
