Situated on the second floor of a newly renovated small 19th-century building (with digicode and a second security door), this attractive 40m2 apartment has a living room with a sofa bed; a bedroom with a large, comfortable bed and an armoire; a small dining area with a bistro table; a fully equipped kitchen with a brand new fridge, a microwave oven, a small regular oven as well as a washer/dryer; a bathroom with full bath and shower.
Lots of Parisian charm: old wooden beams and red brick tiled floors. Much sunlight. Simple but tasteful furniture. Stereo and free cable television as well as DSL/wi-fi internet connection. Free calls to France, the US, and many other countries. All necessary bed linens, towels, dishes, etc. provided, as well as guidebooks about Paris and France.

Situated in the heart of the famed Montparnasse neighborhood, this apartment will provide you with a wonderful Parisian lifestyle, with many cafés, markets, stores, restaurants, cinemas and theaters around. There is also an open-air market (twice a week) and an arts fair (every Sunday) on Blvd Edgar Quinet, just around the corner.

No doubt that Chatelet is the indisputable transportation hub of Paris. But in second place you'll find Montparnasse – which is where this apartment is located. That is one of its best features – and there are many others. The photos provided in the ad are accurate – when the sun shines the living room really is that bright. I stayed there for two months during the fall of 2011 end enjoyed it immensely. The kitchen is well supplied, the television-internet-phone services function as they should, and the bed is comfortable. The apartment is perfect for a single person or a couple. The bakery just across the street is excellent – to the extent that I was always disappointed to have to go elsewhere on the weekday it was closed. Neighbourhood shopping and the great number of local restaurants are both hard to beat. You can walk to the post office and to half a dozen cinemas. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment and would be happy to stay there again. As well, the owners are very pleasant to deal with. Gilberte and Francoise were fabulous to deal with - very friendly and helpful, great English. The apartment is in a charming quartier which is vibrant and busy - great transport and shopping nearby and good restaurants as well as cinema. Gilberte's apartment was delightful. We loved being nearby so many cafe's and restaurants, close enough to walk into the centre of Paris, strolling through Jardin du Luxembourg or the myriad delightful streets. The apartment was light and lovely with the opening windows one level up from the street, with views of a patisserie and other apartments. I'm glad to see the apartment building has been renovated since our visit.

Gilberte was a pleasure to deal with. All transactions and access to the apartment went smoothly. My wife and I look forward to returning to 20 Rue d'Odessa, hopefully within the next year or two.

Excellent location! Montparnasse is hip and exciting, but not touristy. It's also withing walking distance to all the main sites in Paris. The apt. is reasonably spacious and has two large windows for lots of light -- plus, it's directly across from a bakery selling the best baguettes I have ever tasted.
