Luxurious Campus 10th Floor breathtaking view suite - (DATES FLEXIBLE) rent as 1 BR or 2 bedroom-Watch the eagles soar!

We would like to rent for at least 6 weeks (to ?several months, or perhaps for the academic year or perhaps for a full academic year) beginning in the autumn of 2013, with a preferred mid-October start for the rental, however we are open to other considerations & have options to stay elsewhere in Vancouver, if need be, from early Sept until our preferred mid Oct departure, to facilitate an ideal rental period for both parties. We may return to Vancouver in early to mid-Dec 2013 but again could stay elsewhere to accommodate the needs of the renter. This is our home and be will be going away on vacation for all or most of the duration of your stay. If we are not able to organize a suitable rental and our own work situation this year, we will try again for the same or a similar time period in 2014.

This is a fully furnished & fully equipped luxury 2 bedroom suite, with spectacular 270 degree views, of the city, the North Shore mountains, North and West Vancouver, as well as the city's inner and outer harbour. The suite is on 10th floor of 4 yr old concrete building. Forget the commute, live on campus, near the pools, Pacific Spirit Park, the Japanese Gardens, etc. - feel like you are out in the country, but instead, enjoy being steps away from the city's best beaches, with close access to everything Vancouver! Express buses go everywhere in the lower mainland from 2 blocks away. The airport is 20 mins, downtown 15 mins, boutique shopping & fine dining in the Point Grey Village are only a few mins away & all campus amenities are within easy access - libraries, theatres, Olympic swimming pools, botanical gardens, Nitobe Japanese Garden, the UBC Museum of Anthropology, The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts & the wonderful Pacific Spirit Park with 983 hectres of giant Douglas fir trees, and hundreds of walking & jogging trails. Walk through the gracious parklike streets, to the beaches on Spanish Banks in 5-10 mins and Jericho and Locarno Beaches and the Jericho Sailing Centre, & the Vancouver Yacht Club in another 10 or 15 minutes.

You will have spectacular 270 degree views from the suite and from the balcony, of the ocean, mountains, beaches & the downtown - from Horseshoe Bay, Howe Sound & Bowen Island, & the Sunshine Coast to Mt Baker & beyond towards the Gulf Islands & Vancouver Is, including daytime & sparkling night views of downtown Vancouver, West Van, North Van, Burnaby Mountain & beyond as far as Golden Ears Park. Amazing sunsets, eagles soaring & landing in the neighbouring trees off the end of the balcony, and snow capped mountains with the night lights of 3 ski hills (Grouse, Seymour and Cypress Bowl) are the scene from this large 240 square foot (74 sq meters) under a covered balcony with barbecue, top of the line German Dedon lounge & dining furnishings & easy care balcony garden. Hummingbirds at the feeder & eagles soar past the windows.

The kitchen is spacious & very well equipped, with granite countertops, a large island, at sink water filtration, Miele hood fan & Miele gas cooktop, silent Miele dishwasher, top of the line Subzero fridge & freezer with icemaker; 2 full size, regular, highly efficient Miele electric convection ovens (eg. second oven is a regular oven, not a warmer but could double as a warming oven), and a high quality Panasonic Microwave Oven.

IN-SUITE LAUNDRY (A ROOM, NOT A CLOSET) WITH MIELE WASHER AND DRYER, IRONING BOARD AND IRON, LINEN CABINETS.

The master bedroom has a new padded leather King size bed with memory foam mattress, & the very large ensuite bathroom has a soaker tub & a massive shower with floor to ceiling frosted glass windows & lots of light. The 2nd bedroom is dual purpose (office & bedroom) with a solid cherry wood queen murphy bed with memory foam mattress & a foldaway desk, library shelving, large closet & lots of windows. There are hardwood & stone floors throughout the suite with Persian area carpets.

This suite & its contents, appliances & furnishings are new & everything in & about it are new & high quality, very clean & uncluttered. Ceilings are 9 to 9.5 feet adding to the very spacious ambience. Two separate living and living/dining areas form an L shape embracing the gourmet kitchen & the large outdoor space. The first living area has 2 armchairs (recliners) in front of the state-of-the art fireplace, a writing table and new Samsung 42 inch flat screen TV, Bose Music System, Blu Ray/HD DVD and cable box & a large Belgian antique. The second living area/sunroom has dual recliner (3 seat) 5th avenue New Yorker leather sofa, occasional chair, Oaxacan carpet & an extendable cherry dining table/chairs. The granite topped island in the kitchen borders the dining area & has cherry stained wood counter stools.

Located in a pedestrian, on campus neighbourhood near the Law School and the Chan Centre for the performing Arts, the 15 storey concrete building in which this suite is contained, is a friendly and quiet, secure strata building with a daytime concierge, nice gardens, attractive lobby & a mezzanine level library & meeting room & secure underground parking & bike storage.

Rent (single/double occupancy) as a 1 bedroom, 1 bath suite for $3000 (our 2nd BR & 2nd BA; this would mean our main BR & master BR, in this case, would be locked); or as a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite $4200 (eg. you would use both Bedrooms/the whole suite); or as 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite $3500 (Master BR, Master BA & 2nd BA for your use, with 2nd bedroom locked) - if renting only a portion of the suite, as explained in parentheses, the other rooms are locked & will be used for personal homeowner storage.

PLEASE NOTE that if we are not able to organize our work and this rental plan in a suitable fashion, to be away in the autumn of 2013, we will try again, for the autumn of 2014.
