Spacious and airy executive country home facing Elk Lake and Olympic Mountains, available Feb 1,, 2013 This very private, well-appointed family home is situated on 2 acres in rural Victoria and has an organic orchard and vegetable garden. It has wrap around cedar decks, with outdoor furniture and bbq supplies. A trail to access the 10 km walk/run around Elk Lake is next door. The neighbourhood is quiet and pastoral, while only 15 minutes by car to most destinations in Victoria: UVic, downtown, Swartz Bayferry etc. The comfortably furnished house, which has wood and cork floors throughout, is currently set up with 3 bedrooms ( 2 upstairs one down) and 2 offices - all generous in size- and has flexibility in terms of configurations. The well equipped kitchen has a granite top island and gas cooktop. There are 3 full bathrooms- one en suite to the master bedroom with infloor heating, jacuzzi tub and large walk in rain shower, as well as 2 half bathrooms. A washer and dryer set both upstairs and downstairs, as well as a family den and kitchen on both floors.
There is the possibility of use of a car during the rental period, pending arrangements. The house is not on a bus route- although there is a city interchange a 7 minute drive from here. There is also a community centre, library and olympic size pool at the same location. The area is surrounded by small hobby farms who sell fresh produce year round.
We are a professional non smoking couple without pets and will give preference to the same. Our timing is somewhat flexible, although our ideal rental period is Feb 1-Jul 31, 2013
Rent is $3800/month with first and last month as well as a half-month damage deposit at the start. References required.
