I spent a month in this charming house on Symi & loved it. This is an authentic Greek island home, renovated with artistic flair while retaining swags of original features such as the platform bed and a magnificent livingroom ceiling. The house is high up on a hill with a view over old Chorio township, the Mediterranean and, in the distance, the Turkish coast. You could waste a lot of time just sitting at the window watching the boats come and go, and listening to the church bells ring. The house is comfy & quiet. Everything you need in the kitchen is there, plus plenty of hot water in the bathroom. And then there's Symi itself. It's a magical island with lots of places to walk & explore. But plenty of steps to navigate so bring your hiking boots. I made almost daily excursion down to the harbour & back up to the old town again. I discovered amazing Greek food & made friends I'm still in contact with. For me this was a Five Star experience. I highly recommend it.
