Beautiful stone farmhouse near Toulouse
Approached by a long drive, this beautiful old stone farmhouse sits in total seclusion on five acres of garden and wooded hillside. Spread out before it lies a panorama of rolling countryside, woodland, vineyards and, on clear days, the distant peaks of the Pyrenees. The house itself is charming. While retaining the beauty and simplicity of an 18th century farmhouse, Lasserre is a very comfortable family home.
The rooms are graced with original hand hewn beams, heavy oak doors, and original plaster walls with exposed beams and lovely old terracotta floors. The owners live in the property for a portion of the year and, consequently, it has been furnished to a comfortably high standard with favorite pictures and books, antique family furniture, and quality appliances.
This area of south west France, the Tarn, is a particularly pretty and unspoilt region. The countryside is a patchwork of vineyards, maize, sunflowers and woodland dotted with ancient farmhouses and historic towns.
