Situated in a beautiful Victorian mansion block (late 1890’s), this light-filled, fully furnished flat is a perfect home from home for your stay in central London. It is beautifully maintained, in a charming sought-after area, and has every comfort for a quiet retreat of study/writing or a tranquil base from which to explore the city, with transport only moments away.

Very generous in size and layout (995 sq ft), the flat has two good sized double bedrooms (12.9x12.6ft & 12x10ft), a bright study featuring original wood floor, a spacious and light entrance/hallway, modern bathroom, as well as additional guest WC. The large kitchen with dining area is a much enjoyed, warm hub of the home, fully equipped with all mod cons. The living room is comfortable and airy, with large bay windows that flood the room with natural light, equipped with TV, dvd, etc (there is also an upright piano that can be made available for use). The flat also benefits from being on the top/3rd floor, so enjoys fantastic light, sky filled views and perfect quiet. We have access to the very large communal gardens (apprx. 250 x 50 ft) from within the building, and there is a porter who works for and lives on the block; he is extremely helpful and on hand six days a week.

The flat is located on a quiet, tree-lined street, with its own parade of charming services – delicatessens, café/restaurant, florist, dry cleaner – and only a few mins walk to Maida Vale underground (Bakerloo line, zone 2) and bus services, other small shops, supermarket, cafes and the local park. Maida Vale itself is a lovely, peaceful pocket in central London, superbly close to everywhere (most of central London is within 20 to 30 minutes travelling time, often less). With mainline Paddington station (and the Heathrow Express) less than 5 mins drive away (2 tube stops / 15min walk), transport links are fantastic, providing speedy access to most London universities and the British Library, as well as the City and West End (15 – 20 mins). Both Regents Park (15mins to walk there along the canal with its colourful houseboats) and Hyde Park are very close by, with Hampstead Heath a 15min drive away.

We have had many tenants and visitors over the years, all of whom have loved their time here, enjoyed the comfort, warmth and quiet of the flat as well as its central, charming and easy location (references can be passed on).
