THE HOUSE
Lovely, light-filled modern 4 BR home, with 2 full baths, and 2 half baths in the Los Feliz/Silver Lake area. Our house is on the top of a hill on a quiet circle street, with views of the city from the front and a terraced yard in the back. The house is a nice mix of both traditional and modern architecture and furnishings. The downstairs has a master bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a rectangular soaking tub and separate shower. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open plan, and includes a fireplace and an upright Yamaha piano. The kitchen has all modern stainless steel Bosch & Miele appliances, with cherry cabinets and a white carrera marble counter with an eating area. The kitchen includes basic appliances such a bread maker and juicer if you like! The dining table seats ten. There is an office downstairs with a half bathroom & closet that can be converted to a single bedroom if needed. There is also another half bath in the hallway downstairs for guests.

The second floor has two spacious bedrooms, each with large modern windows and small outdoor balconies. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other has a queen bed. There is a room in between the bedrooms with a single daybed that is used as playroom, but could also be used as an office. There is also a full bathroom upstairs with a separate enamel tub and shower.

The house has a very nice indoor/outdoor flow, with several single light doors along the back of the house that open to the garden. Outside, there is an outdoor living room with a cozy couch and chair on hardscape, and a dining table on decomposed granite. The upstairs terrace is surfaced with grass and has a cedar play structure. The hillside garden has ornamental plants and a vegetable garden. The rent includes all utilities, as well as housekeeping & gardening every other week.

THE AREA
We are a short walk from the shops, restaurants & a movie theater in Los Feliz, on both Vermont & Hillhurst. We are also within walking distance of Griffith Park, with its trails and parks, and golf courses. In 5-10 minutes, you can be walking on a dirt road up a hill with views of the Observatory or you can walk further to the Observatory and see the Hollywood sign. In the other direction, you can walk or bike around the popular Silver Lake reservoir and park. Sunset Junction with interesting independent shops & cafes and a Saturday farmer’s market is also nearby. The famous Hollywood Farmer’s Market on Sundays is a short drive away. There is easy access to the 5 and the 101 freeways – you can be at the beach or the mountains within 30-45 minutes.
