The Asian-inspired home, located in the upscale district of Montclair, is in a beautiful, serene, retreat-like setting located just minutes from city-living. It’s in a quiet and wooded setting within minutes of nature, parks and trails. Redwoods, Canyon & City Views, Easy Access to Berkeley, Oakland, Lamoraga, & City (San Francisco Bay Area)

The house is 10 minutes to Berkeley and Oakland. Secluded, quiet and inspiring, with easy access to essentials. Additionally, we're located less than an hour from Napa, and about 60 minutes to the Coast, and less than 5 minutes to more than 10,000+acres of Regional Parks, shopping districts, mass transit and more.

This house sits between a babbling three-tiered waterfall fountain in our front yard, a family of second-generation redwood trees beside our enclosed outdoor patio, and breathtaking Canyon, Bay, and City views from our living room and kitchen. The perfect Bay Area weather can be enjoyed while lounging outdoors in one of three locations on the property – enjoying the waterfall, redwoods or canyon views.

The house has two master suites: One is equipped with a king-size Tempur-pedic bed and is affectionately called the “garden room,” which has sliding glass doors out to a serene picturesque garden with water features, 50-year-old Japanese maples, and bamboo. The other master suite has a Queen-size Murphy bed with sliding doors out to a hot-tub, sunning deck, and five-tiered herb and flower garden.

We have 2 other bedrooms: Both rooms have twin size loft beds.

"We loved our stay at Joel and Jueli's 6918 Thornhill Drive in the Oakland hills. Entering into the home is like walking into an oasis - Japanese gardens line the entranceway, majestic Redwoods stand to the left of the home, and a gorgeous view of the bay and flowers and trees greets you to the West We loved sitting out on the beautiful cedar deck, cooking in their gourmet kitchen, and hanging out in the hot tub! The home is warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated in an Asian motif. We only wish we could have stayed longer...our "summer home" in Montclair was the perfect place to stay for a few months!"
