This was the perfect flat for a summer of research. The location couldn't be bettered: Russell Square tube just around the corner, Euston, St. Pancras, and Kings Cross stations ten minutes' walk away, Russell Square itself on the doorstep and the British Museum just across the square, Senate House and the British Library within ten minutes' walk. The shops, restaurants, pretty squares, and picturesque mews of Bloomsbury are fantastic--you will never be bored or hungry in this flat!
Despite the bustling surroundings, the flat itself is a quiet, sunny oasis of calm with a wonderful view over the rooftops to the spires of St. Pancras and the towers of the Barbican Centre. The little kitchen is well-equipped, and the flat itself is spacious enough to welcome a friend or two for tea. There's plenty of storage for clothes, toiletries and books. The table makes an excellent workspace, and the futon is equally comfortable as a sofa or bed. The area and the building are secure; I never felt unsafe. The porters are friendly and helpful, and Sara Jane was wonderful to deal with: organized, practical, welcoming, and very quick to respond to any queries. I would love to stay here again!

We found this to be a practical and well equipped London base in a fantastic central location. Although the space is compact, it works well for a single person or couple. We also managed to fit in a toddler and a travel cot for weekend visits! It has good closet space and a sufficient kitchen set-up for day-to-day needs. It is really quite amazing how much can be done with the space!
The building is well positioned for transport, secure and has a helpful staff. Sara Jane is efficient to deal with and friendly. She provides some great tips on neighborhood amenities and attractions.

I found this to be the perfect flat for a period of concentrated study (two months): quiet, uncluttered, clean, and fully equipped with all the essentials. Convenient to everything by walking: British Library (12 min); Wellcome (10 min); Waitrose supermarket (1 min); whole foods shop (1 min); launderette (4 min); great used bookshop (1 min)--the list goes on, but the point is, the proximity of everything means little time is wasted on practical matters of living, thus you can concentrate on your work. Russell Sq Tube is also 1 minute away, making Heathrow super-easy. The building is safe, the flat is secure. Flat faces back of building so there is minimal traffic noise; window is towards the east, so light is plentiful. No problems with heating or hot water. Staff was friendly and helpful, not intrusive. Landlady was a pleasure: no-nonsense, prompt with information, and return of the deposit.
I will definitely stay here when I return to London for future research trips: no commuting hassle or costs, no flatmates, no media distraction. This was the best place to be for getting my writing habit well-established. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience in this flat. It is equipped with all the amenities required of a short-term stay (kitchen utensils, an iron, a vacuum, and bedding), and is ideally situated for both daily living and travel. The flat neighbours grocery stores, a laundromat, dry cleaners, as well as many restaurants and cafés. Travelling locally is extremely convenient, as the flat is around the corner from the Russell Square tube station, and adjacent to a number of bus stops. For longer trips around the UK or even to the Continent, King’s Cross station is a short distance away. Most significantly, the flat is near several universities, The British Library, and The British Museum, all of which are accessible on foot. I also found the building’s staff and tenants to be largely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this flat to anyone working in and around London.
