A comfortable historic two bedroom house in Balmain close to the city with excellent transport links

Our home is a comfortable 1850's sandstone house in Balmain with great views over Sydney Harbour and very good transport links to the city, Sydney University and UTS.

It is light and easy to live in with a practical kitchen and lovely spaces to eat and relax both indoors and outdoors. There are excellent local cafes and good shopping with Saturday fruit and vegetable markets nearby. High speed WIFI and free phone calls within Australia are included.

There are 2 large bedrooms both with queen size beds. There is also a separate office with a wireless printer.

Within 5 minutes walk, there are buses from Darling Street either directly into the city or via Glebe to Sydney University, Notre Name and UTS. There are direct ferries either from Thames Street or Balmain Wharf to Circular Quay which take about 10 minutes to the centre of Sydney. At Circular Quay there are frequent buses to both Sydney University, UTS and UNSW.

Balmain has a cars-for-loan through GOGET both nearby on Darling Street and next to Thames Street wharf - there is a link below as it is really handy for rental for an hour or 2 or for several days at a time.

Balmain and Rozelle are known for their cafes and good restaurants. On the weekends there is a regular organic farmers produce market at Orange Grove School as well as an array of 'other peoples treasures' to be found at Rozelle Markets, both nearby.

We have had successful house rentals in 2012 and can provide references from them if you need this.

Our house is now available for offers for short term rental from June 2013 onwards.
