Well-connected traditional Berlin apartment in peaceful setting
This charming apartment is on the second floor of a recently renovated four-floor
building built in 1918. Two large, bright Berlin rooms facing Falkenhagenerstrasse are reached off the main hallway, while on the other (courtyard) side are a good-sized bedroom, an eat-in kitchen with built-in cupboards, and a small blue and white tiled bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The 4 meter high ceilings with stucco decoration, the wooden floors, and the high doors and windows give the apartment its Berlin flair.
Besides the pleasant atmosphere and quiet neighbours, we particularly like the location directly on the border of the historical centre of Spandau. Public transportation connecting with downtown Berlin is excellent, allowing one to retreat any time and partake of the pleasures of this traditional small town and enjoy the peace and beauty provided by many green areas in the immediate neighborhood.
The quiet street and adjacent Bismarck square (featuring sophisticated Italian dining and a good Greek restaurant) have many trees and extensive greenery. Only 200 meters away, there is a park on the Havel river with boat rentals as well as many
walking paths. The centre of Spandau’s historic core with every shopping possibility is only 3 minutes away by foot, and one can walk to the subway station (Altstadt Spandau) or the railway station (local and long distance connections) in ten minutes. The subway takes 16 minutes to the Bahnhof Zoo station, and the Humboldt and Free University can each be reached in about half an hour.
