We are going on sabbatical for 6 months and want to rent out our beautiful home. It is a fully-furnished, renovated Queensland cottage that has traditional features with modern open-plan kitchen. The living area opens onto a balcony with a great outlook over the local parklands. There are 3 bedrooms (1 Queen, 2 single beds, 1 cot). The master bedroom has an ensuite. The house is elevated and gets a great breeze. It also has reverse cycle air-conditioning in the bedroom, living room and office. There is a built-in tiled double garage underneath that can be used as a play and hobby area. The yard is green, completely fenced and shady.
The house is located 500m from the Brisbane river and Brisbane city centre is only 6km away and is easily accessible by train or bus which are both in walking distance. The suburb is full of parklands, playgrounds and sporting fields. We have two primary schools (Yeronga State School and St. Sebastians Primary) and a high school (Yeronga high school) in walking distance. The University of Queensland is 10 minutes across the Green Bridge by bicycle. There are two adult bicycles that come with the house. Queensland University of Technology (Garden's Point) and Griffith University (South Bank and Nathan campases) are also easily accessible by bike, public transport or car, as are the Mater, Princess Alexandra and Royal Women and Childrens' Hospitals. Other nearby (within 5km) features of the area include the West End Restaurant district, the Gabba cricket grounds and the South Bank Cultural precinct. We also have local boutique shops, a supermarket and restaurants in walking distance. The Gold Coast is 45 minutes by car on the highway south, and the Sunshine Coast is 1 1/2 hours by car north.
