Cozy Prof's Condo 15 minutes by car or BART from downtown SF

ADVANTAGES: Cozy bookish professor's pied-a-terre apartment just outside the boundaries of the City of San Francisco in nearby suburban Daly City. 10 minutes by taxi from SFO airport; 10 minutes by car from the beach and pier at Pacifica; 15 minutes by freeway or BART train from downtown San Francisco; 30 minute-drive to Stanford or Berkeley. Ultra-safe and secure condo complex with 24 hour security, pool, hot tub and sauna. Free morning/evening shuttle bus to/from BART, and pleasantly landscaped grounds with waterfalls and duckponds and mature Monterey pines. We're also right the corner from a major shopping center (Serramonte Center) but the grounds are still surprisingly peaceful and woodsy. Unique waterfall view out front window. Standard one bedroom floorplan with small, older kitchen (functional, not fancy) and pergo/wood floors in the living area. 2 flatscreen HD TVs with basic cable channel package and high-speed internet access included. There's also a nice wireless speaker system that plays music from your computer throughout the apartment through a USB/Bluetooth connection. Heat, electricity, and water all included--along with access to my extensive book collection. Shared washer/dryer facility available inside the building. Covered parking for one car is located underneath the building.

DISADVANTAGES: The building is located right next to a Chinese cemetery (not visible from the apartment windows, but still close by). I'm only mentioning this for those who might feel superstitious. Guest parking is severally limited within the complex grounds at night, although nearby street parking is available. During daylight hours guest parking is not hard to find.
