With architecture that was clearly inspired by John Lautner's work, this 1950 house is located on a ridge with fabulous views from both sides of the semi-circular glass living room: south to central L.A. and north to Eagle Rock, Glendale, and Burbank. Minutes from downtown L.A., Silverlake, and Pasadena, but there is a feeling of being completely outside (and above) the city. Wonderful privacy and quiet. Hawks and doves put on airshows. Enjoy the constant breeze and vistas that change with the light, culminating in incredible night-time sparkle.
Furnished by art-lovers. Two master bedrooms, one with spectacular newly remodeled 3/4 bathroom and one with a deck and sweeping view (see below) and an adjoining full bath. One additional small bedroom with large bay window, great for a child (currently furnished with a crib, etc.) or to use as an office. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances and an O'Keefe and Merritt vintage stove, dishes, pots and pans, etc. New gas BBQ, washer/dryer, patio furniture, decks, everything you need! Parking for up to 4 cars (sorry, no access to garage).
There is a doggie door in the kitchen leading to an enclosed side yard. There are currently no pets in the house. But cats and most dogs are OK: no aggressive breeds, as defined by our insurance policy. No smoking indoors, no drugs or noise loud enough to disturb the great neighbors.
Offered by owners, who must leave their paradise for a work assignment. We are looking for mature, responsible tenants who will respect and enjoy our home. References and one month security deposit required. Additional deposit for pets.
