Apartment in the heart of Florence in XVII century building on Via Ricasoli with view on Giotto’s Belltower, just a few steps from the Duomo, the Accademia Gallery and Piazza San Marco. The apartment is on the first floor (2nd floor North America) with high vaulted ceilings (15 ft) and comprises three rooms (650 sq.ft) with Italian furniture: one large bright living-room with fully-equipped kitchen; one quiet bedroom with frescoed ceiling located on an internal courtyard; one bathroom with shower; one office at the back with desk and bookshelves. The apartment was recently renovated and is equipped with every comfort, including discrete mosquito nets on every window, a fully equipped kitchen with four automatic gas burners, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, filter coffee-machine and cappuccino coffee-machine, washer-dryer, 42” HD flatscreen Plasma TV with Home Theater PC and Surround audio, Stereo CD/MP3 iPod compatible, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, autonomous gas heating, reinforced entrance door. Linen and towels provided. Garage in front of the building (for a fee). Cleaning is the responsibility of the tenant but we can have professional cleaning come after the tenant's departure (for a fee of 50 euros).

This is a truly wonderful place to stay in Florence. The apartment is centrally located, two blocks from the Duomo and Accademia, as well as a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, fashion retail district, and the best restaurants. And the apartment is located with plenty of shade on the second floor of an extremely safe building, offering all of the amenities one could ever want -- extremely clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious rooms that include an office along with a sizable bathroom.

Perhaps most importantly, the owners are wonderful people. They went out of their way to resolve problems, answer questions, and offer excellent suggestions. They were easy to deal with, as well as prompt and generous with respect to every phase of the rental. I cannot say enough about how convenient and convenient they made my first trip to Florence. I have traveled extensively, and this is at the top of the places to stay.

This charming apartment in an old Palazzo in the centre of Florence is very  comfortable, well-appointed, clean, easy to live in, and marvellously located. The rooms are well-proportioned, high-ceilinged, well-furnished. The owners are exceptionally well organised in everything from contractual arrangements to instructions for using the apartment and certainly made everything very easy. The apartment's location between the Duomo and the Galleria del' Academia is super, on a busy street that is not too noisy. As the historic centre of Florence is small, from the apartment, it is a short walk to historic sites, museums, palazzi and to all the places we wanted to visit. We recommend this apartment most highly.  Excellent Joan & Jack 8/5/2012 3:33:00 AM
