Our serene home in Gozo, on the sister island of Malta, is comfortably furnished throughout with lovely pine furniture and is situated in the village of Qala. This unique property has beautiful views across the neighbouring countryside and out to sea which can be enjoyed from the first floor bedroom balconies and terrace on the second floor. You can still hear the farmers roosters down the lane and walk past the olive trees, wild caper bushes, almond trees and prickly pears interspersed with flowering bougainvilla from your doorstep.
The house has three bright and airy double bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms. The third bedroom is our crow’s nest – accessed through a traditional spiral staircase, and also offers a working desk and large terrace for a real escape from the rest of the house. With a large combined kitchen/dining room with a wood burning stove and comfortable lounges this home is ideal for a relaxing get away with family or friends. Barbecue area together with poolside facilities, deck chairs, patio tables including an open poolside shower, guarantee outdoor entertainment. And with high speed internet and television, you can also pretend that you’re still at home. This is a perfect place to write your book, do your research or get away from it all.

Less than four miles north west of Malta the island of Gozo is only nine miles long and less than five miles at its widest point. Gozo is a world of it's own, a place to take a breath from the hectic world of today, a place to get in touch with another culture and different customs.
In the heart of the Mediterranean, Gozo in many ways has let time pass without expressing the need to change, in doing so its quaintness has been unspoilt, not more so than in the picturesque villages, where our Gozo farmhouses are found. Only three hours away from any European destination, this island is at peace with nature making walking, biking, swimming and scuba diving an ideal way to while away the time whilst enjoying a truly relaxing break. The sea around Gozo is crystal clear and you can swim from secluded red sand beach coves or from rocky outcrops.... Gozo remains a favourite island for divers and hikers alike.
Go to Victoria to see the imposing medieval Citadel . The Azure window and the inland sea cannot be missed. Feasts are on every weekend throughout the summer in all of the villages. The Gozitans are famous for their spectacular firework displays. Visit the prehistoric site in Xaghara, it is the only one of its kind in Europe and a world heritage site.
Our home is 800 meters from the village core with access to shops, good restaurants, supermarkets, bakers and fresh fish. The fresh vegetable hawkers come by the house every day with fresh produce and the Qala bread from the wood oven is one of the best on the Maltese islands.
Malta is a 25 minute ferry ride away with all is history and culture - commercial activity and access to the rest of Europe.
