Here is an overview of our beautiful apartment!
Location : Antiques District / Vieux Port. Just Minutes from the seaside (Promenade des Anglais),Old Harbour, Old Town and the Cours Saleya.
History: Built in the mid 1800's and renovated immediately after WW2, this apartment has been in the Munier family for over 100 years. We call it “Chez la Tante” after Tante Marie, who lived to the ripe old age of 101.
Interior: Authentic is the best word to describe this flat. Decorated in the “Provencal” style, with clay tiles, “tomettes”. We left Aunt Marie’s furniture and modernized the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Cathedral ceilings throughout (3.2 meters high), 3 marble fireplaces. All windows double-glazed. There is a small balcony.
TV and Telephone: Freebox: High speed Internet and cable TV and most international channels BBC, CNN…). Calls to most English speaking and EU countries free (land lines).
Parking: Available in the “Old Harbour” / 3 minute walk
Public Transport: Well serviced by public transport. Tramway, city buses and coach-style buses servicing most of the Riviera. Train station (Riquier and the central station) very close (15-20 minutes via Tramway).
Kitchen: Fitted kitchen (installed in 2007) Provencal Style, Dish Washer, Electric Oven, Microwave, Washing Machine (clothes), and Coffee Maker. Table wear, utensils, etc…
Children: Baby bed (“pack and play”), high chair and changing table provided upon request.
