Paris 9th near Opera

Before giving you information about our apartment, I would first like to thank the owner and staff of SabbaticalHomes.com for the opportunity they have given us to meet and correspond with such interesting subscribers and clients.

As the world is small,we have even met through SH people who were old friends/colleagues of friends of ours in far away countries.

So here is what you want to know: LOCATION- Paris 9th arr. near Opera at 5 minutes walk. 6th floor penthouse with an Art Deco glass and mahogany round elevator that you can actually get your suitcases into. The elevator has been brought to Paris safety Code during 2012 and 2013.

The apartment faces South and streams with light. NEWLY PAINTED AND DECORATED DURING MARCH 2013. "Lebas" apartment is 65 sq/mt or 750 sq ft. and is fully furnished and equipped to US standards of comfort, with elegant, comfortable and quality furnishings. The building is 7 stories high, built of Parisian quarry stone around 1898 and of the Haussmann style architecture of that time. Street noise is a minimum or none at all thanks to quality double-pane PVC windows.

There is 1 large bedroom with a VERY comfortable American-made king size latex mattress and box springs. Views open to the sky and sunrise through the large French windows.

The living room also has a very comfortable pull-out sofa for 2 people. Original parquet marquetry oak floor, and 3 meters high ceilings.

The kitchen has everything you could need with high quality cookware, utensils and fine stemware.

Please note that we do a through cleaning taking a minimum of 2 days between clients, including all mattress covers, bedding, etc. Cleaning supplies, detergents, paper goods are all supplied for a weekly or monthly rental.

You will have nice neighbors and a very helpful Spanish resident concierge. The apartment has SECURITY DOORS with non-copy keys. Recently, there is a digital swipe pass key to enter into the building.

One of the best things this location has is the convenience of several means of Paris transport to go everywhere without getting exhausted. The Metro stations are Cadet and Notre Dame de Lorette. DIRECT BUS 85 to the front door of the Sorbonne University. Bus 42 to Trocadero/Eiffel Tower, Bus 43 to Neuilly American Hospital, Bus 26 to Opera and Department Stores....who needs the subway when you can hop on a bus and see what is happening in the city?

The Gare du Nord and St. Lazare are in equal distance in either direction from the apartment by 2 or 3 metro stations.

There are 2 cooking and wine education schools within 5 minutes walk AND the famous food shopping street rue des Martyrs just down the street, plus several supermarkets. You will never have to walk more than a minute to buy delicious food.

For rent by the week, month and for sabbatical stays. Referrals offered. Sleeps 4 comfortably for short stays.

This place is perfect for 2 people long-term. There are plenty of closets, and this is rare in Paris apartments.
Phone calls to US land and cell phones are free of charge, computer and high speed wireless connection, multi channel cable HD TV, Sony DVD Bluetooth player. HP printer.

This is NOT your usual Paris rental apartment. The owner can also help with local restaurant "tried and tasted" recommendations, current museum exhibits information, and many other useful information on how to survive Paris and the Euro on a budget
