The house is in a very pleasant spot in a large village 5 miles outside Oxford, with excellent bus links (every 20 minutes). It is a converted barn with quite a large south-facing garden, a lovely sunny spot in the summer. The house is comfortable - downstairs a kitchen/diner with small cosy sitting room attached, a small bathroom, utility cupboard, another large sitting room, and a piano room/study. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms - the largest has an ensuite bathroom and there is another bathroom for the rest of the house.
The 2 cats are friendly and are used to people looking after them - one is a pure Birman and her son is half Birman. The neighbours are very friendly, and the village itself is marvellous, with most shops which are needed for everyday items plus a wonderful delicatessen and coffee shop. There are also some excellent pubs and Indian restaurants in the village. The village is on the edge of the Cotswolds, and only 10 minutes drive from Woodstock and Blenheim palace where there are wonderful walks. |
