| Retreat in the shadow of a Medieval Castle |
Lucens is a little rural town situated in the beautiful valley of the river Broye and has one of the best preserved castles of the region. The apartment we have available covers a whole floor of the former cheese factory we bought 6 years ago. It is spacous and light. The living room is 45m2 with wooden floor and wood burning stove. There is a large kitchen 25m2 with floor tiles, fully equipped with dishwasher and gas and electric stoves. There are two large bedrooms and one office with wifi and internet connection. The brand new bath room has a separate WC and a second bath room is available for guests. A laundry room with washer and dryer is in the basement and there is storage space in the attic. Shops are in walking distance, you can get your freshly backed croissants every morning at the excellent bakery and the butcher sells biological meat. In summer you can swim in the lake of Neuchatel (30 min.) and in winter the Gruyere region offers great ski slopes (45 min.) and stunning views. The University of Lausanne is 30 minutes away, Fribourg 35 minutes and Bern 45 minutes.
