In the picturesque harbour of Mèze you will find our charming old fisherman's house in Rue des Salins. With two sandy beaches within walking distance, as well as shops and the local market, Mèze is one of the oldest fishing villages in the Sth of France. It is located along the Etang de Thau on the Mediterranean Sea, about 25km SW of the University town Montpellier, between Sète and Agde, in the Languedoc-Rousillon region.
Our house was completely renovated and features a double groundfloor apartment which is let on a weekly basis during the summer season but is available for long term rental from October to the end of June.
Total surface of 120m2 (wheelchair accessible!) is composed of: a large living space including the entrance, a separate bathroom and modern living / kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave and enough china to feed many friends) opening onto the private courtyard with fountain and luxurious mediterrranean plants, giving access to the 'Casa Barbara' which offers a good sized living room, aother small kitchen with dining area, bathroom and dressing room as well as a mezzanine which is the double bedroom. As the groundfloor really consists of two individual apartments, it can be used by two families and can sleep up to 6 people comfortably. Price quoted refers to this groundfloor rental per month.
On the first floor of the house, we also rent out (separately) a bright and sunny 35m2 studio which is perfect for a single person or a couple, has its own well-equiped kitchen and shower-room as well as a charming balcony overlooking the courtyard.
Our apartments have TV/DVD/WiFi connection and use of the groundfloor laundry room. Our garage can be used to store sports equipment and bicycles but cars need to be parked on the public parking, which is a 3 minute walk from the house. Baby-furniture and extra mattrasses for guests available at no extra cost.
