I divide my time between New York and New Delhi and sublet our Delhi home from time to time. The apt is fully renovated and is as comfortable as life in Delhi permits! Our apt is in a very green area in Mayfair Gardens, Hauz Khas, a 5 minute walk to the market and a minute’s walk to the metro. It is surrounded by three parks (Trikona, Mayfair Garden and Panchsheel). Safe street parking is available right outside the gate in what is a secure gated colony.
This is a duplex apartment on the 1st and 2nd floors of an independent family home. The 1st floor has an entertainment room with a 32" TV, working desk, bean bags and a futon sofa that opens out into a bed. Also on the 1st floor is the guest bedroom/study with an attached bathroom. On the 2nd floor is a large living and dining area with an open kitchen and 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. The master bedroom with a king size bed overlooks a park and a terrace, and the children's bedroom has two single beds and a work desk. The living room opens out onto a large terrace. The entire apartment is flooded with natural light.
The apartment is fully equipped with 5 air-conditioners (1 in each room), oil heaters in the winter, and a back-up power inverter. There's 24hr broadband wireless access, cable TV and a telephone. This is a serviced apartment. We have an honest, dedicated and wonderful helper who keeps it clean and will be there to help you with babysitting, laundry and/or cooking during regulated hours.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, a gas range that includes an oven and broiler, a Reverse Osmosis Aquaguard purification water system. There are pots, pans, crockery, linen- everything you need to move in. All utilities: phone, internet, electricity, cable tv are additional. The cost of the housekeeper is included. Everyday maintenance is the responsibility of the rentee.
References from your employer and previous landlord required. We have a strong preference for academics and diplomats visiting India who need a fully furnished temporary home. A security deposit will be required. Please email for further details/photographs and to check availability.
