The apartment is at the second floor of an old three-floor building. There is no elevator, but just two flights of stairs.
Beavita is made up of:
1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom
The double bedroom has a three door wardrobe, night tables and a chest of drawers. In the hottest months the bedroom could be kept fresh by a ceiling fan. There are also a radio
CD player and an alarm clock.
The twin bedroom has a one door wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a desk as well.
1 bathroom which has cabinet shower, bidet, WC and sink.
The kitchen is fully equipped to allow our guests to prepare their meals with the fresh ingredients bought at the supermarkets nearby or at the vegetable market at Prato della Valle.
The kitchen includes a gas stove with an electric oven, big fridge, washing machine, electric kettle and microwave oven. Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are provided.
Guests of Beavita will also find the basics for cooking. Salt, sugar, some spices, coffee, tea, olive oil and vinegar are at their disposal in the cupboards.
1 living room
The living room has a sitting area where the guests can relax while reading a book or drinking a good glass of wine on the sofa or on a comfortable armchair by the window.
The living room contains a table which can accommodate up to 5 people, a LCD TV set (it gets only Italian channels), a DVD player and a cupboard hosting also a small travelers’
library. You will find books, guides and travel literature together with our info pack and maps on/of Padua and nearby resorts.
There is a narrow balcony (not a terrazza then :-)) and the most pleasant thing people generally notices is that the whole flat is inundated of light!
Beavita has no home phone neither AC.
Receiving you upon arrival, accuracy while satisfying your requests, good knowledge of the territory and availability to make you live your Italian experience at the best are also included in the rental.
The neighborhood is mainly made up of two-floor houses with private gardens, very close one each other. It is a quiet area behind Prato della Valle, not far from the two Hospitals (Ospedale civile/Policlinico universitario) neither from the scientific faculties of the University of Padua.
The building stands at the end of a closed-end road. There is no traffic apart from people parking in front of their houses.
To park, you could do it in front of the building or there is a safe, free on-street parking about two blocks away.
The apartment is surrounded by many different types of shops (2 supermarkets, food stores, newsagents, tobacconists, wine shop, clothes shop, etc.) a variety of pizzerias/restaurants and, last but not least, our favorite and one of the most famous cafè in town, Pasticceria da Celso.
Moreover, in the area there are all necessary services (banks and bank machine, pharmacy, post-office and the newspapers/magazine library).
Whenever a guest arrives in town, we do our best to pick him up at the train or bus station and carry her/him home.
If asked, we could also reserve a seat with the transportation service Airservice going from/to Padua to the airport of Venice-Marco Polo/Treviso.
To reach the center of the town you could go:
walking (20 minutes)
biking (10 minutes)
by tram (Piazzale S. Croce stop)
Bus 11 stops/starts exactly at 5 minutes walking from our apartment and stops in the historical center.
Bus 3 (the stops are along Via D’Acquapendente), very close as well, stops in front of the train station.
Almost every 30 minutes there is a train going to Venice (20 minutes reach), Verona, Vicenza, Ferrara, etc.
In our opinion the best way to visit/live Padua is using a bike. Our town has many bicycle paths and all-aged riders. It is the quickest way to reach any point of the town and it is free! In fact, we have bikes in the garage you could ride during your stay in Padua.
You could get a bus or tram+train and be in Venice in 40 minutes. In alternative you could take an extra-urban bus from Padua extra-urban bus station (close to the train station) and get to Venice (Piazzale Roma) passing through the Riviera del Brenta (Brenta Canal) studded by the beautiful ancient Venetian villas.
