LIGHT-FILLED FORMER ATELIER, SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE

This former artist’s atelier was totally renovated in 2010, transforming it into a comfortable and spacious (55 square meters) apartment ideally situated in a quiet courtyard within steps of Alesia, the heart of the 14th arrondisement. The apartment is on two levels: on the lower level the entry, kitchen, dining and sitting areas; on the second, the bedroom, bathroom and study with ample closets throughout. The kitchen is equipped with both a microwave and regular oven, a halogen 4-burner cooktop, a full-size refrigerator,and all necessary utensils, etc. The round table in the dining area seats four and can be expanded to seat six or eight. On the second level, in addition to the bedroom with queen-sized bed and a full bathroom which includes a large glassed-in shower, there is a "belvedere" which provides a perfect work space (See photos) with an ample view of the adjacent rooftops of Paris and of the steeple of St. Pierre de Montrouge. The washer/dryer is also conveniently located on the second level behind sliding doors.
All linens, blankets, towels, etc. are provided.
There is both an ADSL connection and WiFi, a printer/scanner, television and phone with free calls to land lines throughout Europe, to land lines and cell phones to the USA, Australia, Canada and most of the rest of the world.
A two-minute walk from the front door is the main north-south metro line (#4/Porte d’Orleans-Porte de Clignancourt), across the street are four bus lines (#38,68, 62 & 28) putting all of the city's major research institutions within easy reach.
There are three supermarkets in the immediate neighborhood plus a number of excellent specialty shops; an award-winning bakery has just opened across the square and Rue Daguerre where shopping is always a pleasure, is a five minute walk away. There is also an open market twice weekly on the square in front of the Mairie du XIVeme.
RATES: 900€ one week/1600€ two weeks/2200€ three weeks/700 € per week for periods of four weeks and over

All utilities are included as is maid service of 8 hours monthly for periods of four weeks and over.

The Ottanelli’s apartment is exceptionally well-located in a very French part of Paris (very few tourists). There are an excellent cheese shop, a fish shop, a grocer’s and a baker’s very close by, two supermarkets within a five-minute walk, and a market street within a ten-minute walk. There is a multiplex cinema just across the street and numerous cafés close by. The park Montsouris is a ten-minute walk down the rue d’Alésia. It is very easy and quick to get to central Paris from the apartment by direct metro and bus lines. The apartment itself is a former artist’s studio so one side of it is almost entirely north-facing windows. The apartment has recently been renovated and is well-furnished and well-equipped and imaginatively and tastefully decorated. There is a wonderful work/study space on the mezzanine in addition to a bedroom, living area, dining area and a kitchen. It was a marvelous and very comfortable place to spend a few weeks in Paris.
