The apartment is on the fifth floor of a well-maintained, early twentieth-century building and overlooks large courtyards on both sides. It is bright and airy with freshly-painted walls, plenty of large windows, and charming wood floors. While the surrounding neighborhood is lively, with numerous cafes, restaurants, and shopping possibilities, the apartment is completely insulated from the sounds of the street. Both bedrooms, which are located at opposite ends of the apartment, are large: one has a queen-sized bed; the other has one single bed for child. There is a stereo, television, and DVD player in the living room. The kitchen, which contains all new appliances (fridge, stove, oven, washer and dryer), opens on to a nice eating area that can accommodate six for meals. Some other resources: wireless, high-speed internet, unlimited calling to the US, lots of toys for small children. The apartment is ideally located near the center of Paris right beside two metro lines (4 and 9) and two bus lines (47 and 38), which provide quick and easy access to the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, Saint-Germain-des-Près, the Centre Georges Pompidou, etc.; Republique and the Canal St. Martin area are less than ten minutes away by foot.
