My house is 3 blocks from the Huntington Library and 4 blocks from California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech). It is very easy and enjoyable to walk to both places from my house. My house is very lucky to be a neighbor of such beautiful and important resources. My house is about 1700 sq. ft., has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a den, kitchen, living room, dining room, patio, garage and driveway.
Depending on your wishes, the home can be rented furnished, partially furnished, or you can bring your own furnishings. The pictures posted here are mostly how the home will look with its furnishings.
Rent includes wireless internet access, cable, landline for local calls, security system, and an automatic gate for the driveway. Water and trash included as well. Depending on the negotiated rent, I can cover gas and electric also.
The famous architect Wallace Neff built my house in 1926. It is a Spanish style home with two fountain patios. It is walled-in and quite private. It is a very safe and quiet neighborhood with wonderful long-term neighbors.
Excellent, very highly rated public school system and several very good private schools in the area too.
Plenty of nice restaurants, shopping, parks, gyms, and recreational activities in the area, many of which are within walking distance or a short bike ride away. Lake Street, which has plenty of shops and restaurants, is about a 15-20 minute nice walk away.
The metro line is about 1 mile from my house and connects with a significant part of Los Angeles, including USC, Downtown and Hollywood, and in 2014-2015 with the beach at Santa Monica.
