Located on a quiet street in the heart of the historical town and art colony of Taos, New Mexico, Casa Luna is within walking distance of the main plaza, shops, galleries, museums, restaurants, parks, performing arts/film center, public library, and a full-service natural foods grocery store.
Casa Luna is a small two-story, two bedroom home with a private outdoor sitting area, a storage shed and two parking spaces (although no car is necessary in town and there are shuttle buses to Santa Fe as well as to the airport in Albuquerque). The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a view of Taos Mountain through the trees. The second bedroom is designed to be used as an office, and has a desk, a foldout guest futon couch and a south-facing balcony. The house is very cozy and comfortable for one person or a couple on sabbatical, and references from other academics who have rented the house are available.
Amenities include: large washer/dryer, gas stove, dishwasher, full bath upstairs (with skylight over the tub), 1/2 bath down, and fully furnished kitchen. There is a kiva gas fireplace in the living room that is perfect for those cool mountain evenings (the house has baseboard heating throughout as well). All linens and towels are provided, and all utilities are included (including high speed internet service).
